What becomes worth learning once knowledge is no longer scarce?

Current position — May 2026

What I used to believe. I thought a professional foundation required memorizing tools, languages, and syntax before you could begin creating.

What changed my mind. I watched young people skip years of syntax and reach solutions faster, without believing they had to outperform AI at every technical layer.

Where I stand today. As execution becomes cheaper, judgment, taste, problem decomposition, verification, and context become more valuable.

What still does not sit right with me. Which foundations must never be skipped, even when the machine can perform them better?
